This whole average bo...ks ..zz.. too many factors involved to get an accurate comparison you would need an identical group of reasons which is never going to happen. How realistically can you compare blues with vile or even derby with blues for that matter  just for the record blues had bigger average crowds than derby for 4 seasons on the trot 2002/06 & they had crowds of only 13000-18000 between 90/97 which was 7 years on the trot even though people claim "they always get good crowds" :)

Derby: Birmingham alienate all age groups at Pride Park
Yesterday’s cup game against Birmingham provided a little bit of light relief from the week to week pressures of the Championship and was the third home game in succession in which Derby have been the underdogs. We won the previous two (Forest and the Cartoon army for non-Rams fans) and were very unlucky to lose to Birmingham yesterday.
Birmingham bought their full allocation of away tickets and I’m sure they enjoyed their day. Let’s face it, an injury-time winner in any away game is always a good thing. However the general arrogance and pathetic way they backed their team needs addressing. So let’s set the record straight.
Birmingham are having one of their best seasons ever, which wouldn’t be difficult as their honours list is derisory and probably one of the worst in the top few tiers of English football. Conversely, Derby have had a shocking season so far yet still average 5,000 more home fans than the Blues. “Your grounds too big for you” – you’ve got to be joking.
Birmingham are a horrible club with horrible fans who play at a horrible ground and you can form your own opinion about their Hong Kong-based ownership. In fact they’re probably the footballing equivalent of a Matsui stereo – looks OK, works OK but you just never get away from the feeling it is really poor quality.
Although there were plenty of Bluenoses present yesterday, their support was shocking. Loads of noise early on but not one solitary chant in the 18 minutes between our goal and their equaliser and then obviously loads of gloating thereafter. Awful fans.
Having said all that, the Blues have had a great season based on a static team and Alex McLeish’s unswerving loyalty to his 1-0 France away game plan. Rumours that he’s had the white board from the Stade de France dressing room tattooed on his back are unconfirmed. Let’s see how good they are when he gets some injuries and/or tries to sign some better players.
I think my 8-year-old son summed it up best in the car on the way home – “Dad, I hate Birmingham now”. So do I, son. OK, that’s the sour grapes over with. Back to the Rams.
As a general comment, Derby are playing really well at the moment and look a very strong Championship side. It seems with a combination of focus, belief, key players getting match fit (as opposed to just being on the pitch) and superb gaming of the loan market, Nigel has finally turned the corner. Whilst the future might not quite be bright, there is definitely a warm glow building.
Grow up.

The east Midlands - what a **** hole. If I lived there, I'd be jealous of us as well.
Thing is, if it were true and he really felt that way, the author would have written it before irrespective of the result.
And you know what, he didn't did he?
Shame about the kid - you shouldn't teach your children to hate other people. Especially over something as trivial as a sports team.
Me too ! I lived in Burton for 5 years I thought I had moved to Yorkshire - it's like a different planet ffs :Blues: Daz
Cheeky sod, have you ever been here?

Can't argue with him there either. As of end January for this season Blues (top half Prem) average gate 24,901 total gate 298,820 Derby(bottom half CCC) average gate 29,234 total gate 409,280 Apart from some personal insults a lot opf what he says can be backed up with facts. It appears many on here are just as bitter as he is. I suggest look at yourselves and clean up your own act - I also noted his "horrible fans" quote - he's not the only one around the country that has said that, well done zulus.
Do you ever have anything good to say about our club, and our fans?
All ive ever seen is negativity and criticism.

No one likes us, we dont care............
I care, I find his attitude very offensive and rude........ He is right about our poor support at home for sure, but to call us horrible is plain stupid, the world is full of nice and horrible people side by side, can you imagine some of the **** that follow Derby, doesn't mean they are all the same.I would like to meet that guy for a little chat about people. I am a Brummie who lives away from Brum and knows what most real people think about us as a club and a group of fans,he is way off the mark.
I would agree. I've lived outside the West Midlands for 11 years now and I've never heard anyone call us horrible or horrid above or beyond a normal reaction to any set of supporters. The closest I got was from a Yorkshire man supporting Liverpool and his thoughts towards Darren Purse after his celebration in the league cup final. It's generally agreed that stirring this guys tea the wrong way would cause a similar reaction, so I hardly took that one to heart.

21,043 inc. 5,500 Blues fans. Their ground was too big for them on Saturday. Too big for their inflated opinion of themselves. Population of Derbyshire 775,000. Won nothing in nearly 40 years. tomatoes

I couldn't give a !"£$ what that Derby ****** said abiut us and whats more when we were down to 10,000 fans we didn't give a monkey's what other fans thought of us.
As for SHA007 he has constantly belittled us, our fans, our team only singles himself out as one of the returning fans that know bu**er all about the Blues.

SHA007 writes constantly with great pleasure belittling our club.
This derby fans horrible article and all he could post was a line from it that he agreed with.
